Modern Science
This is an exciting time to be alive! Ideas about the world, about ourselves and how we function in the world are changing. No longer can we look upon ourselves as being separate individuals, totally removed from the people and world around us. Modern science has finally proven, through rigorous experiments, that there really is an energy connecting all things, including us.
Once the existence of this force was accepted it became apparent that a huge error had to be corrected. The so-called error involved the ridicule and rejection of massive amounts of research produced during the last 100 plus years. The research being referred to here came from the areas broadly falling under the titles of parapsychology or psi research.
Maybe if scientific bodies were made up of machines rather than humans, who are quite capable of bias, the findings would have being accepted a long ago.
It was the well known Yale Surgeon ,Dr. Bernie Siegal, author of Love, Medicine and Miracles, who suggested people are addicted to their beliefs. He also pointed out that trying to change someone’s belief would result in that person acting like any other addict. In short, when a belief is challenged, rather than submitting the belief to evaluation, the belief simply strengthens. History has clearly supported Siegal’s theory: anyone faced with facts that do not support their particular belief will naturally reject non-conforming evidence. Scientists are human. Scientist are, and have been, subject to belief addiction.
The reality of belief addiction has been a major factor in the rejection of the research, put forward by people who tried to produce evidence supporting the reality of intuition, distant viewing, healing, the merging of minds and telepathic communication. In the last 6 – 7 years the situation has been changing as more and more of the work put forward by earlier consciousness researchers has been brought to light and validated.
Prior to the acceptance of these new discoveries such phenomena were considered impossible, at least by the majority of Westerners. In fact, many people belonging to the establishment have called such experiences imaginary, evil or psychotic activities. Some people called these experiences and occurrences simple coincidences which was a kinder label, although equally as dismissing.
Moving away from consciousness to physical findings, science has determined that our brains are not our primary seats of knowledge. What has been discovered is what many people have felt to be true: the heart and gut are!
It has been shown that all matter throughout the cosmos interconnects and entangle through quantum waves. [1] Linda McTaggart has clearly summarized, “If we and all of empty space are a mass of entanglement, we must be establishing invisible connections with things at a distance from ourselves.” [2]
McTaggart’s summary lays the foundation for more discoveries and more reasons for rejecting our earlier paradigm of separation and the illusions of human supremacy. In fact, as recently as December 2007, NASA reported the discovery, of what they are calling ‘huge magnetic ropes’ linking the sun and earth. In some of the articles to follow there will be more information on this topic. Although this discovery is new to us, it would not come as a surprise to anyone who is familiar with the advanced sciences recorded within the Vedas.
The vast storehouse of knowledge provided by the Ancients may originally have been ignored due to their deification of all energies. Secondly, in our ignorance, we failed to look beyond names we did not initially understand and thereby ignored the great truths being offered through the Vedas.
