Times and Experiences Are Changing

Einstein’s famous formula E=MC? is now up for revision. The recent
announcement by CERN that light is no longer the fastest thing in our universe
opens understanding to new possibilities. In fact we can see phenomenal changes
in attitude occurring all round us. Topics that once were relegated to the
lunatic fringe are now part of mainstream thinking and use.

The Chinese discipline of Feng Shui representing the laws of
heaven and Vastu, the Vedic science of construction each focus on energy flows
as these affect human dwellings.. Today it is common to hear people make
reference to having their home of office changed using the principles of Feng
Shui or  Vastu to improve productivity or
health.

Kirlian photography shows the aura or energy field
surrounding  any object or person. The
growing value of this form of photography is its accurate relationship to
various diseases.

Yoga was once considered perverse yet today it is practiced by
thousands of people. Originally the practice of yoga is intended to unite an
individual with larger creative forces. In the West we’re slowly moving toward
that end however at the moment use Yoga primarily for its health supporting
benefits.

One very important part of Yoga ties in with the purposes sought
after in Feng Shui and Vastu, the movement of life giving qi (chi) or prana.

Acupuncture deals with energy channels of qi or prana, within the
body. This technique of intervention has proven itself to provide important
support for  our health and well -being.
No longer is this technique ridiculed, today orthodox physicians are trained in
the use of acupuncture in various places within our country including places
like Edmonton, Alberta. Acupressure too, a technique that relies on exerting
external pressure on specific points in the body, rather than using needles, is
also becoming more popular and is often used in cases of migraine headaches.

These techniques all share an underlying acknowledgement of a
pervasive energy that unites all things. This particular belief has been
difficult for many people raised in the Western idea that only those things
which can be seen are true.

The Association for Research and
Enlightenment
,( A.R.E) established to catalogue and
record the knowledge provided by the psychic Edgar Cayce  has made hugs contributions to general
medicine. Powerful acknowledgements of spiritual aspects within each person.
Under scoring the idea we are all spiritual beings having a human experience.

Near Death Experiences (NDE) recorded via Cayce’s work has been
endorsed countless times through the reports of individuals who have
experienced near death (NDE). The beautiful part of these occurrences is the
removal of fear.

Visualization exercises, and their effectiveness in cancer
treatments and other illnesses is well-known and can be very effective.
Visualization is nothing more than thought forms and these are being used in
the field of robotics. Yes, it is possible for someone to move a physical
object using nothing more than a thought. This work is a god-send to people who
are paralyzed or have had amputations. An interesting confirmation of the existence
of the ethereal or energetic body comes from amputees. Although they have lost
a limb or a digit they can still feel that part of their body. The ancients
tell us that no matter what amputations take place, the ethereal body does not
disperse until our soul leaves.

Benefit of healing hands and Reiki although discounted by medicine
has helped ease the pain for thousands of people. Whether these interconnections
rely solely on one’s imagination or not doesn’t matter, what does matter is
that something is going on whether it is because of the influence coming from
the practitioner or from the imaginings of the person suffering.

What each of these topics share in common is the acknowledgement
that there is more in this world than we can see. Additionally there is an
emphasis on the power of subtle energy and the acknowledgement that a multitude
of forces are at work around us. With this growing awareness comes the importance
of how each of us chose to use our conscious decision making abilities. As the
ancients have tried in so many ways to tell us, our strength rests within us
and it is only through self-knowledge that we can gain access to what is real.

Becoming conscious is not easy, as consciousness is not a natural
state unless it is consciously sought and reinforced. Once conscious our
awareness grows by leaps and bounds. Until that happens we live like the
fish  who can neither see nor feel water.
