There are three consciousness tools that anyone can use which will support a sense of inner peace and harmony.
- Healthy food and drink
- Proper breathing
- Calm surroundings bringing healthy food to the mind
Healthy, non processed food is fresh food grown without heavy fertilizers and chemicals. Deep fried, canned or chemically based foods are not healthy. Colas, excessive amounts of coffee or other stimulants ultimately create problems within the body and therefore the mind. Excessive use of alcohol is definitely on this list.
Deep regular breathing is mandatory for maintaining a calm mind. Shallow breathing limits our ability to process information adequately and limits the ability of the body to function at its best.
A calm mind demands a calm environment this can be created by simply turning off the TV or radio. Challenging to do at first silence rapidly becomes a pleasure. Be very selective about the TV and movies to be watched. Violence and brutality do not feed the mind in a positive way. Loud or violent music is equally destructive, if music is desired better to have soft and gentle music or silence.
